Is there an entry fee?

No. Entering TIC is completely free.

What can I enter with?

A working prototype or early product that addresses a real problem, a device, an app, a social initiative, a service, or a creative solution. It does not need to be technology-based, and it does not need to be polished. You enter by submitting a video walkthrough of 2 minutes or less showing it working. What matters is that the problem is real, the thing exists, and the work is yours.

When will I hear back?

Every entrant hears the outcome when the shortlist is announced on 29 August, three weeks after entries close on 8 August.

Grand Prize ₦200,000 · 2nd Place ₦100,000 · 3rd Place ₦50,000. All finalists receive access to TIA, the structured accelerator cohort.

What happens after I submit?

The 20 strongest applications are shortlisted. Shortlisted entrants attend orientation, are matched with a mentor, and develop their project through the programme. By 31 October, each one submits a final developed version of their work. Judges review all 20 submissions asynchronously, then announce the top 10. Those 10 advance to Build Day on 21 November, where they build live in front of judges and a public audience. Winners are announced on the day.

Does entering TIC improve my TIA application?

Yes. TIC alumni are prioritised when TIA cohort places are allocated. It is the strongest route into the accelerator.
