Build a Weekend Escape Product for Lagos Professionals

Design a travel product that gets time-poor Lagos residents out of the city for 48 hours without the friction that usually stops them. Nigeria's domestic tourism is held back not by a lack of destinations but by a lack of ready-made, low-effort short breaks.

The brief

Lagos professionals between 25 and 40 earn enough to travel but rarely do domestically. The usual blockers are real: no curated itinerary, unclear accommodation quality, transport anxiety, and the sense that local travel is more stress than it is worth. Destinations like Ijebu-Ode, Idanre Hills, and the Ogun River resorts sit within three hours of the city and are largely underused. Your job is to design a weekend escape product, not just an itinerary. Think of it as a packaged experience a small operator or a travel startup could actually sell. It needs a clear target customer, a price point that is realistic for the audience, a named destination, and a defined set of inclusions. Deliver a product one-pager (PDF or Figma) that covers the customer profile, the 48-hour schedule, the logistics model (transport, accommodation, activities), the pricing breakdown, and one paragraph on how it would be sold or distributed. Include a short justification for why the destination you chose is right for this audience. Strong work will feel like something a real operator could hand to a potential partner tomorrow. It will name specific hotels, roads, or experience providers where it adds credibility, and the pricing will be grounded in research rather than guesswork.
