What your child is joining.

ATTP is a non-profit organisation founded in Lagos in 2020. It runs competitions, accelerator cohorts, and an online practice platform for young people who are building things and want to understand what they are doing and why.

The programmes are not remedial. They are not meant for children who are struggling at school. They are for young people who are ready to be challenged, who want to develop real skills, and who benefit from being around others doing the same.

ATTP does not replace school. It runs on weekends or online, alongside normal education.

TIC is an open innovation competition. Your child submits an idea that addresses a real problem. Shortlisted participants are brought into a cohort of finalists, each matched with a mentor from industry or the ATTP community. They develop their work over several weeks and present live on Demo Day.

There is no entry fee. It is open to individuals or teams of up to four. Any young Nigerian aged 13 to 22 can enter regardless of school year, location within Nigeria, or prior experience.

The problems participants choose to solve span health, education, the environment, civic technology, and community life. Past finalists have built tools for tracking blocked drains, proposed electoral transparency platforms, designed school inclusion programmes for students with disabilities, and developed health apps for girls in low-resource settings.

Demo Day is a live public event. Finalists present to a judging panel in front of an audience of mentors, partners, and community guests. Prizes are awarded on the day. Families are welcome to attend.

Prizes are ₦200,000 (1st), ₦100,000 (2nd), and ₦50,000 (3rd). All finalists receive access to TIA, the accelerator cohort.

TIA is a structured cohort for young builders. It runs over six weekly sessions, each focused on a specific output: problem framing, prototyping, storytelling, leadership. Participants finish with a real project, a certificate, and a graduation presentation in front of mentors and the ATTP community. The graduation is a live event, families are welcome.

The programme is small and selective. TIC finalists and alumni are prioritised. Your child does not need a finished product to apply. They need curiosity and the commitment to show up every week.

Format depends on the cohort. Some cohorts run in person in Lagos; others run entirely online. The first cohort was online. The format is confirmed when each cohort opens.

TIA is completely free to attend.

Launchpad is ATTP's online platform. Young people work through briefs (structured challenges with defined outputs), build a portfolio, and earn certificates of completion. It is available year-round and is not tied to a cohort being active.

Any young person can create an account and start working. It is free. There is no application process.

All TIA and TIC sessions are facilitated by named ATTP facilitators and volunteers. In-person sessions are held at secured venues. Online sessions use video conferencing with ATTP facilitators present throughout.

Participants are not asked to share personal financial information. The Launchpad platform requires only an email address to create an account. ATTP does not sell participant data.
