Build a Simple Impact Measurement Tool for Small Nigerian NGOs
Small Nigerian NGOs do meaningful work and cannot prove it. Build the tool that helps them measure, report, and improve.
Closes 6 Sept 2026
The brief
There are thousands of small NGOs operating in Nigeria — running after-school clubs, feeding programmes, skills training, and community health initiatives. Most do meaningful work. Almost none have the resources for professional impact evaluation, and many lose donor funding because they cannot demonstrate results convincingly.
Your challenge is to build or design an impact measurement tool specifically for a small Nigerian NGO with a team of 3 to 15 people and a budget under ₦5 million a year. It must be simple enough for a non-specialist to use, produce credible data, and generate reports a donor can actually read.
Submit a working tool, detailed prototype, or comprehensive product specification. Include: user flow, data collected, how results are visualised, sample donor report output, and how the tool handles programmes with qualitative rather than quantitative outcomes.
Judging criteria: 35% simplicity for non-specialists, 30% credibility of data produced, 25% quality of donor reporting, 10% design.
