The licence, in plain language.
These are the terms for every dataset ATTP collects, including the Translation Engine corpus. You know exactly what you are giving before you contribute anything.
What contributors give
By submitting a contribution, you grant ATTP a perpetual, worldwide right to include your approved entries in published datasets, in open releases and in commercial licences to third parties. You keep the right to reuse your own contributions anywhere, always.
Credit is permanent
Every approved entry carries your name in every form the dataset takes: open release, commercial licence, API response, and export. Attribution is not removable by ATTP or by any customer.
How the data is used
Datasets are used for research, product development, and analysis, including training AI systems. Commercial customers licence the data under terms that require the attribution above and prohibit attempts to re-identify anonymised contributors or subjects.
What stays out
Personal data beyond your public credit (your name) is never included in published datasets. Programmes with anonymisation rules (rents, salaries, the Handshake Census) publish only at the aggregation level stated on the programme page.
Payment
Contributors are paid per approved entry whenever a programme has an active rate, typically funded by a commissioning customer, and subject to programme budgets and monthly limits. Monthly prizes run independently of rates. Nothing is ever charged to contributors.
Withdrawal
You may stop contributing at any time. You may also ask for your name to be replaced by an anonymous credit in future releases by writing to info@attpglobal.com; entries already shipped in past releases cannot be recalled, which is the honest nature of published data.
The steward
ATTP (A Talented Tribe with Purpose) is the steward of every dataset: it gates quality through review, holds customers to the licence terms, and publishes methodology openly for every programme.
