Volunteer role

Communications Lead

4–6 hrs/weekReports to: Executive Director

The Communications Lead oversees all content output for ATTP — social media, blog, podcast, photography, video, and marketing — and manages a team of 9 volunteers. This is a named leadership role: your name and photo appear on the ATTP website alongside the founder's, separate from the general volunteer listing. You receive a personal reference letter from Akintunde Idowu and first access, in writing, to any paid role ATTP creates. You are not briefed and handed tasks — you decide the content strategy and hold the team to it.

What you deliver

A clear, consistent ATTP voice across announcements and campaigns.

How success is measured

Communications shipped on schedule and the audience response they get.

What you will do

  • Own ATTP's content calendar and channel strategy across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, podcast, blog, and video
  • Manage and coordinate 9 volunteers across social media, editorial, marketing, podcast production, and visual media
  • Report monthly to the founder on reach, engagement, and content performance
  • Attend ATTP Conversations sessions and be introduced as an ATTP lead in the room with partners, speakers, and funders
  • Shape how the communications department operates — tone, standards, and output quality
  • Named publicly on the ATTP website as part of the leadership team
