TEF runs an annual cohort that selects 1,000 entrepreneurs from across Africa, gives each $5,000 in non-returnable seed capital, and puts them through 12 weeks of business training with access to a network of mentors. Applications open once a year. If you are building anything with a commercial or social enterprise dimension, you should apply. The selection criteria reward clear thinking about a problem and evidence that you understand your market — both things ATTP trains you for. Even if you are not selected, going through the application forces you to sharpen your pitch in ways that benefit every other conversation you will have about your work.
