Teen Innovators Accelerator 2026 Alumni · TIA

Founder of Digitize All Pathways | Bsc. Entrepreneurial Leadership at African Leadership University | Mastercard Foundation Scholar.

Before joining the Teen Innovators Accelerator Program, I thought of leading an initiative that was simply an idea driven by my personal experience. I knew many secondary school students believed technology was only for STEM careers because I had once believed the same. I wanted to change that mindset, but I didn't know how to turn my passion into a structured social impact project. The accelerator program completely changed my perspective. Through the From Problems to Projects module, I learned how to identify the root cause of a problem instead of focusing only on the symptoms. I realized the real challenge wasn't that students lacked digital skills—it was that they lacked awareness that technology could transform any career pathway. The Designing Your Solution sessions helped me transform my idea into a practical solution that students could easily relate to. Through the Project Planning, Timelines & Milestones module, I developed my first MVP and piloted it at my former secondary school, where I introduced over 50 graduating students to digital inclusion and challenged the belief that technology is only for STEM careers. Building on that momentum, I partnered with African Youth Speak (AYS) to launch the Future-Ready Challenge, a digital career readiness initiative that sponsored the JAMB registration of six outstanding students. One of the most rewarding moments came after the workshop when a participant shared how the program changed his perspective. Inspired to combine law with technology, he applied for and was accepted into the BoyCode Africa program, where he is currently studying cybersecurity to strengthen his future career as a lawyer. Seeing a student take immediate action because of the awareness we created reminded me that a single conversation can change the direction of someone's future. The biggest transformation wasn't just learning how to build a project; it was gaining the confidence to believe that my idea could create real impact. That confidence has stayed with me ever since. It encouraged me to pursue global opportunities, eventually earning a fully funded Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to study Entrepreneurial Leadership at the African Leadership University. Looking back, the Teen Innovators Accelerator Program gave me much more than practical tools. It gave me a way of thinking, a community that believed in young innovators, and the confidence to move from having an idea to building a mission that continues to grow today.
