Participant Code of Conduct

Version 1.0 · Effective June 2026

Our Values

ATTP programmes are built on five values that guide how we work and how we treat one another:

(1) Respect: we treat every person as a capable individual deserving of dignity, regardless of age, gender, background, religion, ethnicity, or ability. (2) Integrity: we are honest in our work and our words. We do not misrepresent ourselves, our projects, or others. (3) Collaboration: we support each other's growth. We share knowledge generously and do not compete in ways that undermine others. (4) Accountability: we take responsibility for our actions and accept feedback as part of learning. (5) Safety: we actively work to make ATTP spaces safe for everyone, physically, emotionally, and digitally.

Expected Behaviour

All participants are expected to:

(a) Engage actively and courteously in sessions, workshops, and online spaces. (b) Arrive on time and communicate absences in advance wherever possible. (c) Listen to and respect the contributions of peers, mentors, and facilitators. (d) Give honest, constructive feedback and receive it with openness. (e) Protect the confidentiality of other participants' personal information and any information shared within a session that is not intended for public disclosure. (f) Complete assigned tasks to the best of your ability and communicate early if you are struggling.

Prohibited Behaviour

The following behaviours are not acceptable within any ATTP space, whether in-person or online:

(a) Harassment: any unwanted conduct that has the effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or humiliating environment, including verbal abuse, threatening messages, or persistent unwanted contact. (b) Discrimination: treating any person less favourably because of their gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. (c) Sexual harassment: any unwanted sexual attention, suggestive comments, or inappropriate physical contact. (d) Plagiarism or academic dishonesty: submitting another person's work as your own, misrepresenting sources, or falsifying project data. (e) Misrepresentation: providing false information on an application, in a project, or in any communication with ATTP or its stakeholders. (f) Bullying: repeated behaviour intended to intimidate, belittle, or isolate another person. (g) Any behaviour that endangers the physical or emotional safety of another participant or staff member.

Online and Digital Spaces

This Code of Conduct applies in full to all digital interactions connected to ATTP, including WhatsApp groups, online learning platforms, video calls, and any social media activity that references the programme or its participants. Participants must not share screenshots, recordings, or personal data from ATTP digital spaces without the express consent of those involved.

Reporting a Concern

If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code, you are encouraged to report it. You can:

(a) Speak directly to a facilitator or programme staff member during or after a session. (b) Send a written report to info@attpglobal.com. You may request to remain anonymous; we will do our best to honour that request while still being able to act on your concern. (c) Where the concern involves a facilitator or senior staff member, contact ATTP's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Akintunde Idowu, directly.

All reports will be treated with discretion. We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Consequences

ATTP will review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include a verbal or written warning, a formal meeting to discuss the behaviour, temporary suspension from sessions, or permanent removal from the programme. The response will be proportionate to the nature and severity of the breach. Where behaviour may constitute a criminal offence, ATTP may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.

Participants who are removed from a programme for a conduct breach will not ordinarily receive a refund of any fees paid.

Agreement

By registering for an ATTP programme, you confirm that you have read this Code of Conduct and agree to abide by it. Participants under 18 must also have their parent or guardian confirm agreement as part of the enrolment process. This Code supplements and should be read alongside ATTP's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
