Contentment Is a Practice
1 of 4
Psalm 38:9 says: all my longings lie open before you, O Lord. Contentment is not pretending you do not have desires or ambitions. It is holding them with open hands — bringing them honestly before God rather than letting them control you. Philippians 4:11 says Paul learned contentment. He did not discover he was naturally contented. He practised it in circumstances that made contentment very hard.
