Turn the Idea Into a Plan

1 of 6

An idea without a plan is just a wish. Most people have ideas. Far fewer build the plan that turns the idea into action. A plan does not have to be long or perfect — it has to be specific enough to tell you what to do next Monday. A good plan answers three questions: what needs to happen, in what order, and by when. Without those three things, you are not planning. You are hoping. Hoping is not a strategy.
