Cutting Through the Noise

1 of 4

The volume of information available about health and personal finance has never been higher. Social media surfaces new dietary advice, new supplement protocols, and new investment strategies daily. The paradox is that more information has not produced healthier or wealthier populations. The reason is that most information in both domains is low quality, commercially motivated, or contradicted by the next piece of information that surfaces. The discipline needed is not better information absorption — it is information discernment: the ability to identify the small body of well-evidenced, consistently supported knowledge that actually produces results, and to apply it without being distracted by the noise. The foundational knowledge in both health and finance is not complex. The difficulty is holding it in place when the noise is telling you to try something else.
